Welcome to Pete's Misc Birds Gallery.

Here you will find birds that don't fit into the more specialised categories, but include gems such as crested tits, kingfishers, waxwings and everybody's favourite, the puffin.

While Pete loves photographing birds of prey, he has spent many hours capturing images of a wide and diverse array of other birds. During the winter months, Pete runs workshops to target birds such as crested tits, ptarmigan and red grouse. During the summer months, he visits seabird colonies to photograph puffins, gannets, kittiwakes, razorbills, guillemots and even shags.

Not considering himself to be a Twitcher, Pete is a fairly keen "Birder" so has made the effort to see some rarities over the years, but is just as happy photographing a wheatear as he is a purple heron.

Having travelled the length and breadth of the UK, Pete has amassed an extensive gallery of birds found in the UK, and if it isn't shown here in this gallery, or in his Flickr page (linked from the footer of this website), please email him to see if he has such an image.
