Harbour And Shore Workshop

The coast around Inverness can be a treasure trove of birds and mammals, and Pete can take you to locations he's enjoyed some wonderful encounters himself.

You will visit harbours and shores in search of waders, wildfowl and mammals such as common and grey seals. Winter can be best for these workshops, when the light is soft and the harbours can provide a safe haven for the animals away from the wild seas.

Some of the species you might encounter include: purple sandpiper, redshank, turnstone, common scoter, great northern diver, long-tailed duck, eider, grey seal, shag, gannet, rock pipit, great black backed gull and more.
