February 2026
10th March 2026After a quiet February, March put my winter season back on track, and I spent most of it running multiple-day workshops here in the Scottish Highlands. While I enjoy meeting clients for single days too, having several days to enjoy in their company is always preferable.
The image of the month comes from a two-day workshop that was actually booked through my friend Karen Miller, but she was recovering from a surgical procedure, and had asked if I could help her out, and take her client to see the hares.
And we were fortunate with the weather, as well as the hares.
At this time of year, most hares are changing from their white winter coat, to their brown summer one, and are a lot more active. This particular hare had two favoured forms, and when it was beside a large rock, as it was last year, it seems to feel very safe, allowing people to get really close.
Which is just as well, as getting a view requires getting close.
It just wasn't bothered by us, and at one point, stretched out its legs, and went to sleep on its side!
I could choose any of the 100s of images taken of it that day, but I like this one, and it was very popular on Social Media.
